What Should I Expect at the FREE In Home Demo?

We do a FREE in-home demo with all new clients

The demo lasts approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.  This is not a free dog training lesson but an opportunity for you to learn Wayne and Bravohow Attention Dog Training’s programs work free of charge and for us see if we are a good fit to work together.  We offer professional dog training services that are fully customizable.  We put our hearts and souls into our work to provide you with the very best service that you can find.  It’s important for the trainer to meet with the dog and evaluate the dog by working with them to see where their current training is at and to see how quickly or slowly a dog picks up new commands.  We make notes on your specific needs and lifestyle to find the best program for you.

We drive up to an hour for your free in home demo and round trip this can take our trainers 3 hours including the demo.  The minimum that we are asking for is the time of all decision makers to be present during the demo.

Dog training is ridiculously fun, especially when you are expertly guided AND most people don’t understand how trainable their dog is until they see it for themselves.  People needlessly put up with behavioral issues for way too long because they don’t understand how to fix certain problems.  They don’t really believe that their dog can be well trained, they simply think that’s how it is for their dog.  We’d like to show you that every dog is trainable no matter how old they are, what their past is like or what their issues are.  We are happy and confident that we can help you whether your dog’s issues are high energy, low energy, submissive behaviors, aggressive behaviors or simply if you want to learn advanced dog training skills.

Head dog trainer Darrel Hager is a top dog trainer that consults other dog training businesses around the US to train all their dog trainers and he has his own dog training trainer’s school.  He’s spent years learning tips and tricks of the trade.  We all have busy lives and it’s nice to learn the fastest and most efficient ways to train our beloved pets.  All of our trainer’s learn his methods of training because they are so effective.  What does this mean for you?  Well, you are getting trainers that really know their stuff, you will be learning a top notch dog training system and all our trainers have an excellent experienced head trainer that is available to mentor our trainers through any problems.

You should be able to ask for a free consultation or demo from any dog training company or person so you can see for yourself their level of training with their own demo dog, how effective their training is with your dog and to learn about the costs and pricing of their programs.  We recommend that you always do your homework and “see for yourself”.   Schedule your FREE in-home Demo Today!

Our top programs are the BOOT CAMP series.  Your dog stays at the trainer’s house and lives with them as “one of their dogs”.  They train through daily routines such as potty breaks, doorbells, doorways, household manners, feeding times as well as outdoor and indoor practice with various distance and distraction levels to “PROOF” your dogs commands.  A qualified experienced trainer is training the dog verses someone with little to no dog training experience.  We like to use the analogy that a Black Belt is teaching a Yellow Belt instead of two Yellow Belts working it out together.  While we encourage you to get involved with your dog’s training, it would be unrealistic for us as trainers to expect the same results out of our clients as we have as trainers.  Some fixes are subtle and quick with your body language and require some experience to get “used to” making the fixes.  Anybody can learn these skills but it takes some time to be proficient at them and some people will excel more than others.  Also, some dogs are more difficult than others.  This is similar to how some musicians excel more than others even though they might put in the same amount of time practicing.  Dog training is a skill so don’t be frustrated if you don’t have the time to practice this skill or if it is a skill that is more difficult for you to pick up.  We are here to help.  You are always have the option of upgrading your training program at any time.  We offer the FREE DEMO to give you recommendations on an appropriate training program based off of your needs and the dogs difficulty level.  Pricing depends on your goals and how responsive the dog is to the training.

Do You Teach Potty Training?

Potty training is something that requires reinforcement, consistency dancer-6-monthsand time

Yes we teach potty training and we help you develop a good potty and feeding routine.  Keep in mind that potty training is something that requires reinforcement, consistency and time.  It’s common for potty training to take anywhere from 3 months to 7 months.  It takes less time the more consistent that you are and when you have a regular schedule for feedings and potty breaks.  Puppies need to be watched when they are out in the house if they are not potty trained yet.  If you don’t have time to watch your puppy then we suggest kenneling your dog if they haven’t gone potty outside recently.

Yes we can teach your dog to go potty in a certain part of your yard.  This is simply something that takes practice and consistency.  We can also teach your dog to pee on a pad but we’ve found that the dogs are always more reliable with their potty training when they learn to go potty outside.

Do You Train Small Dogs?

3 Doggies having fun at the Farmer's Market
3 Doggies having fun at the Farmer’s Market

Small dogs act just like big dogs

Of course!  Small dogs act just like big dogs so why not train them like you would a big dog.  Training is helpful for safety reasons as well as it being way more fun having a well behaved dog.  Small dogs excel in the training and I’d like to see all small dog owners invest in educating their furry friends who are way more intelligent than we sometimes give them credit for.

Small dogs typically get away with more naughty behaviors because they are smaller and things like pulling on the leash are not as big of a problem with a small dog verses a big dog who could pull you down.  Either way, if it was one of our dogs, no matter the size, we would teach the dog not to pull on the leash and to walk nicely.  When your dog walks nicely then it is simply more pleasant to walk your dog and your more likely to do it more frequently.  Also, when your dog walks nicely then you want to take your dog out to more places and I love to take my dogs everywhere, knowing they will be well behaved.

Other things that are good to teach small dogs are when it’s ok to bark and when it’s not.  Nuisance barking on walks or in the house can be unpleasant and embarrassing.  Again, it’s fun to take your dog everywhere and we guarantee you’ll have more fun if your dog knows when it’s appropriate to bark and when it’s not.

Not jumping and recall are two other issues that we would definitely teach any dog of ours.  There are times when you dress nicely for work or going out and you don’t want your furry friend jumping all over you.  Also, some guests will not like getting jumped on.  Whenever you are expecting a guest, be prepared as this is a good “training opportunity” for you to teach your dog not to jump.  You can do this my teaching your dog a “Place” command.  For example, when company comes over, then send them to “place” on their dog bed.  Any of our trainers can help you with this command if you are struggling with it.

Finally, all dogs should have a strong “come” command.  Sometimes small dogs like to sneak out of the doorway if you aren’t careful going in or out of the house.  If your small dog gets out then they are at risk of getting hit by a car and it can take a long time to “catch” your little dog which can be no fun.  It’s also no fun to play “catch” the small dog in the house if you are in a hurry or if you want to walk your dog.  A strong recall command is a must for all dogs.  It’s important to PROOF all of your commands so your dogs listen indoors and outdoors no matter what the distraction is.

Contact us today to schedule your FREE demo today so you can see for yourself how much potential your small dog has for learning.  We love our small dogs dearly but we don’t like them to run our lives for us.  It’s much better to have a well mannered pup that you are proud to take everywhere.
